Terms of Use
Last updated: 23 July 2026 · Version 1.0
These terms govern your use of the Halal Access Partners website, directory, and tools (the "Service"). By accessing the Service you agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Nature of the Service
Halal Access Partners publishes a B2B directory of ingredient and food-industry suppliers with assessments of their halal compliance posture. We are not a certification body. Content labelled "Compliant (assessed)", "Non-compliant (assessed)" or similar reflects our analysis of publicly available information and supplier-submitted evidence — it is not a certifier's ruling. Rows tagged "AI-inferred" were extracted by our classifier and have not been reviewed by a human analyst.
2. No warranty; commercial decisions
The Service is provided "as is". While we take care to keep information accurate and up to date, we make no warranty as to completeness, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose. Before entering into any commercial or procurement relationship on the basis of our content, you must independently verify certificates, scopes, and expiry dates with the issuing certification body. We are not liable for any commercial decision made in reliance on the Service.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- scrape or bulk-download the directory or bypass rate limits;
- republish substantial portions of our assessments without written permission;
- submit false, misleading, or defamatory content, including via the enquiry, claim, or correction forms;
- upload content or documents you do not have the right to share;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or another user's account;
- use the Service to build a competing dataset via automated means.
4. Accounts and claimed profiles
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. If you claim a supplier profile, you represent that you are authorised by the supplier to do so and that the information you submit is accurate. We may suspend or revoke a claim if we have reason to believe it was made in bad faith.
5. Uploaded content
When you upload a certificate or other document, you grant us a non-exclusive licence to store it, run our classifier over it, and — where you set visibility to public — display extracted fields (issuer, scope, expiry, certified entity) on the associated supplier profile. Private uploads are visible only to the supplier's claim-owners and our administrators. You may request removal of uploaded documents at any time via /corrections.
6. Corrections and takedowns
Anyone can request a correction, removal, or object to processing under the GDPR via our correction form. We aim to acknowledge within 3 working days and resolve within 10. Where information is materially inaccurate we will correct it; where a claim of inaccuracy conflicts with a verified certificate, the certificate prevails unless the certifier confirms otherwise.
7. Intellectual property
The Service — including the directory schema, the 7-layer compliance stack, trust-score methodology, editorial content, and site design — is our intellectual property. Third-party marks (company names, certifier logos) belong to their respective owners and are used descriptively in a directory context.
8. AI-generated content
Parts of the Service use large-language-model providers to summarise documents and answer knowledge-base questions. AI outputs may contain errors or omissions and must not be treated as authoritative. See our methodology for details on which fields are AI-inferred and how they are labelled.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms or for use that materially harms the Service or other users. You may close your account at any time by contacting us.
10. Governing law
TO BE PROVIDED — governing law and forum will be finalised alongside the Imprint and Privacy Policy.
11. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be flagged on the site. Continued use of the Service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
