Indonesia's halal mandate applies from 17 October 2026. Imported food ingredients, additives, cosmetics and consumer goods are covered. Read what it means for European suppliers

Advisory services

Where certification actually goes wrong.

Almost every failed halal market entry we see fails for one of three reasons: the certifier isn't recognised where the goods are going, the scope is narrower than the catalogue, or a raw material can't be evidenced. Our work is to find that before a regulator or an auditor does.

Every engagement is framed by the same seven layers.

Supplier verification

Request a quote →
Who it's for
Buyers and importers who have a named supplier and need to know whether the halal claim survives scrutiny in their destination market.
What we do
We assess the supplier across all seven layers: company policy, facility controls, raw materials, process, products, packaging and logistics. Certificates are read for issuing body, recognition status, entity, site and product annex — not just validity dates.
What you receive
A written assessment with the layer-by-layer position, the specific gaps, and a plain statement of what we could not evidence.
Typical timeline
Typically 5–10 working days per supplier.

Tailored supplier shortlist

Who it's for
Procurement and NPD teams sourcing a compliant input for a specific market, where a directory search isn't enough.
What we do
We screen against your specification — function, sector, origin, volume, destination market — then assess each candidate to the same standard, so the profiles are genuinely comparable.
What you receive
A ranked shortlist with comparable compliance profiles, the reasoning behind exclusions, and introductions where you want them.
Typical timeline
Typically 2–4 weeks depending on category breadth.

Certification advice for your target market

Request a quote →
Who it's for
Manufacturers deciding which certification to pursue, or who suspect the certificate they hold won't be accepted where they're selling.
What we do
We work backwards from the destination: which bodies the regulator recognises, which standard applies to your product class, and how the scope must be drawn to cover what you actually ship.
What you receive
A recognition analysis for the market, certifier options with trade-offs, and scope wording guidance before you apply.
Typical timeline
Typically 1–3 weeks.

Path to certification

Request a quote →
Who it's for
Manufacturers who have decided to certify and need to be audit-ready without discovering the gaps during the audit.
What we do
A gap assessment across the seven layers, then structured remediation: raw-material substitution and evidence, process and shared-equipment controls, segregation, documentation and internal audit.
What you receive
A gap report, a prioritised remediation plan with owners, and documentation support through to the audit date.
Typical timeline
Typically 2–6 months, driven by raw-material complexity.

What we are not

We are not a certification body. We do not issue certificates, and we do not audit on behalf of a certifier. Accredited certifiers are prohibited from consulting on the work they certify — that independence is why preparation advice comes from a separate firm.

Tell us the market and the product.

There is no price list — scope, market and sector differ in every case. Send us the outline and we'll come back with what the work involves before we quote it.

We use your details only to answer your enquiry. Every engagement is quoted individually.
